What Is Volumetric Concrete?

What is Volumetric Concrete?

Volumetric Concrete (or Mix On Site Concrete) is concrete which is mixed by volume of material, rather than weight. Volumetric Concrete is typically mixed on-site in volumetric concrete mixers, which are self-contained portable batch plants.  These specialist trucks contain all the requisite concrete ingredient materials (sand, aggregate, cement, admixture and water).

Mobile volumetric mixers provide the flexibility to produce concrete on-site in any quantity without waste. They also produce concrete at any specified slump or water-cement ratio.Mixes and grades can be switched between jobs, or even during a job if required, by simply adjusting the machine ’s proportioning controls.

The trucks are driven to site where the mix can be produced to a given specification and delivered in precise quantities
